ber 28th will I be tan by the 10th of October? And what are some tips? Do I wear suntan lotion? Wear my swim suit?I am goin tanning at a salon for the first time?
Since you have a limited amount of time, the key is to maximize and make the most of your sessions--this means, you must do the beds consistently WITHOUT overdoing it.

I've seen it all, women who need to be tan fast and get waaay too overzealous and end up BURNT for their big day. I would start off in a medium bed [UVB body bulbs, UVA face bulbs] for a SHORT time [6 minutes or less, depending on your skin]. Do this 2-4 times until you feel you have a fairly decent base tan, go ahead and hop in a high pressure bed. What this does is bring all the melanin that you've been storing to the surface of your skin, therefore boosting your tan. The key is to mix up your beds; I reccommend to doing 2-4 medium sessions and then a high pressure. If you go fairly consistently, you will be able to go through this cycle twice.

The next and one of the most important parts is picking a lotion. An accelerator OR soft/light bronzer is the way to go. If you DON'T use a lotion, your skin starts to tan about 6-7 minutes into your session, WITH a lotion your skin will start tanning within 30 seconds. Ask your salon rep. to see what they carry and what they reccommend. Using a dark bronzer is not always good. They DO contain self-tanner and can streak if not applied properly. There are some products out there, like some new Australian Gold lotions that have DermaDark which is a stain free and streak free bronzer. Again, see what your salon carries.

%26amp; Absolutely NO outdoor tanning lotion. It can cause cracks in the tanning bed.

Wear whatever you feel comfortable with, just make sure to avoid tan lines if you'll be able to see them in your dress.

Good luck!I am goin tanning at a salon for the first time?
Be careful with the ';dark tanning lotion'; that the other posters talked about. It contains a fake tanner and depending on your skin, it can make you look orange. Don't jump right up to a high level bed either, those have a higher UVA light. UVA isn't as likely to cause burning as UVB, but it does cause wrinkles and skin aging. My suggestion is to start with a lower bed, at a lower time (If you are fair skinned start with 6 minutes in a 20 minute bed. I am olive skinned and rarely ever burn and I always start at 8 minutes... always err on the side of caution). Whatever you do, DO NOT LET YOURSELF BURN. Some people ';burn and then it turns into a tan'; This is the way it might work with sunlight but it does not work that way with a tanning bed. Burning will actually set you back because you will have to wait a few extra days to be able to use the bed again. When you go up in time limit, go up one minute at a time and ask them to tell you if they change the bulbs. If they change the bulbs you have to lower your time limit because the bed will be way stronger.

Because you have a limited amount of time, I would say tan two days in a row, rest one day and repeat. If you are extra ambitious, tan every day. That is usually what I do but they are now saying that is ';bad';. Who knows. Forget the suntan lotion, it is a stupid, expensive marketing ploy. Instead buy a normal, unscented lotion and check the ingredients to make sure there is no mineral oil. You can have your tanning salon staff double check it for safety if you want. You can also use pure shea butter, it has a natural ';spf 4';. It is super light and you will still tan with it, and get added protection.

Don't wear your swimsuit.
I don't recommend going tanning in a tanning bed.

But I don't think I can convince you not to so i wouldn't wear anything.. You don't want tan lines with a dress on.

But if you want to be safe, I'd get the sun love self tanner. I love it. :)

It doesn't make you orange or streaky, i promise.

Do NOT use a bed you will have a higher chance of skin cancer so use the tanning spray and yes wear a bathing suit or a even a strapless bathing suit so swim suit lines don't show in your dress

Have fun at Homecoming!
If you use a powerful bed you will tan super quick! ALWAYS wear tan lotion and wear your swim suit depending on if you want tan lines or not.. you dont have to wear it.
use 60x dark night tanning lotion and lay in the highest level tanning bed and u will get dark fast!
